A-maze tour of modern Ercolano

Since the 18th century Herculaneum has been famous worldwide for its historical and archaeological heritage. Since then, millions of visitors every year come to admire the Archaeological Park and Vesuvius National Park.

But Ercolano is more than just this.

Through our tour, the first of its kind in Ercolano, we will tell you about the many other layers of history and tradition of this pearl of Southern Italy. From its medieval past, to the 17th-century Baronia, the discovery of the ancient roman town, the first excavations, the Grand Tour, the Golden Mile up to the post-World War II period and more recent stories of redemption from organized crime. Of course, there will also be references to music, traditions and intangible heritage, all attributes that contribute to making Ercolano such a fascinating city. 

Lasting about two hours, the walking tour will take us through the historic centre and its most characteristic alleyways, discovering the vintage market of Resina and meeting the local community.

The ticket is valid for the first Saturday following the date of purchase.
Cancellation of the entire ticket or certain items on the ticket (e.g. reduction in the number of participants) must be notified via info.variabilek@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance.
It is only possible to reschedule a tour if the request is submitted to info.variabilek@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance.
There is no refund of the ticket except for force majeure reasons dependent on the organisers.
