To give continuity to the work carried out during the ‘Cosa c'è sotto’ programme
A workshop to explore the vastness of the tangible, intangible, cultural and natural heritage of the town of Ercolano.

The Archaeological Park of Ercolano is the starting point of the workshop, where this same group of young people has already taken part in various activities. The Park is not only a witness to the past, but a living space capable of engaging with the present. Here, the children come back to explore new aspects of the archaeological site and to experience it more and more as an integral part of their city and their daily lives.
The activities continue with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Naples, to discover the artefacts from the archaeological site, accompanied by Director Francesco Sirano.
Following a chronological order, some sessions focused on the heritage of the medieval historic centre of Resina, exploring folk traditions, ancient crafts, religious practices, the stories of the people who live it every day and their families. We also concentraded on the differences of the various neighbourhoods that make up the town.
The Vesuvian villas are another essential stop on the workshop, with particular attention paid to Villa Campolieto.
And of course, a visit to the Vesuvius National Park was a must, featuring an introduction to the geology of the area and the extraordinary biodiversity of which the Park is the repository.
